Indian actor Kanhaiyalal was born in 1910 in Varanasi to Pandit Bhairodutt Choube, popularly known as Choubeji. He actively worked in Hindi films since he started his career at the last of his life including more than 122 films.

At 16, Kanhaiyalal started writing and then moved on to acting in small roles. He established himself as an actor in silent films.
