Suhana Khan was born on 22 May 2000 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to actor Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan. She has an older brother Aryan and a younger brother Abram.
Suhana follows both her parents' religions Islam and Hinduism. She did her schooling at Mumbai's Dhirubhai Ambani International School. She graduated high school from Ardingly College and later attended the New York University Tisch School of the Arts in New York City.

In 2023, Suhana was chosen as one of the brand ambassadors for the cosmetics company Maybelline New York. She also became the face of Tira, which is Reliance Retail's beauty brand. Then, on May 4, 2024, during the 100th anniversary of Lux, a popular beauty soap brand in India, she was announced as the new brand ambassador. In the same year, she portrayed the character of Veronica Lodge in Zoya Akhtar's teen film, The Archies, and also lent her voice to the song "Jab Tum Na Theen" for the film's soundtrack.
