USA Network, simply known as USA is an American basic cable television channel owned by the NBCUniversal Television and Streaming division of Comcast's NBCUniversal through NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment.
USA Network was originally launched on 22 September 1977 with the name "Madison Square Garden Sports Network" (simply known as the MSG Network). It was founded by cable provider UA-Columbia Cablevision and Madison Square Garden Corp.
