Hwang Dong Hyuk confirmed that he had begun conceptualization work on a second season of the series during a press event but was not confirmed any date for the release of the second season of the Squid Game web series. According to the online resource Netflix and Wikipedia, the 2nd season of the series would be completed and released in 2024.
